AASHA-Alliance against Sexual Harassment at Workplace

AASHA means “hope” – a hope to root out harassment especially of women from the society.

It aims to raise awareness on the issue and assist the government and private sectors to create a society free of sexual harassment. AASHA's first initiative is directed towards taking active measures to mobilize and influence policy makers for providing protection to women at the work place and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment. For further information, kindly visit AASHA website www.aasha.org.pk

Insani Huqooq Ittehad (IHI)

Insani Huqooq Ittehad (Human Rights Network) is another group of NGOs as well as individuals that take human rights violations as a serious issue.

Child Rights Movement (CRM)

In view of the severely exploitative and abusive situation of children in Pakistan a group of likeminded NGOs realized that one-off projects are not enough to solve the issues of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of children. Thus these NGOs joined hands and created a new forum – Child Rights Movement. It is open to all the organizations working on children’s rights. Individuals can also join the movement. The members meet regularly on monthly basis. The meetings are hosted by any of the member organizations. More than 20 organizations have already joined the movement. More and more organizations as well as individuals are joining.

Ending Violence against Women (EVAW)

This alliance is envisaged to function as a coordination platform for awareness-raising, budget tracking of public sector and policy advocacy regarding violence against women particularly in relation to global and national commitments on gender equality e.g. review of anti-trafficking ordinance and lobbying for domestic violence bill etc. Involvement of men is to be ensured in the activities undertaken by Alliance members. The alliance to also focus on women facing multiple discrimination (e.g. refugees, sex workers, minority women etc).
