Saleem Malik
Executive Director
 

Saleem Malik has more than 18 years of experience in the management of relief and development program across Pakistan. On completing his Masters in Statistics in 1987, he started his career as a social researcher with International Irrigation Management Institute, Pakistan where he gained extensive social research experience and a deeper understanding of the issues and challenges of rural communities. In 1995, he left for UK to pursue his M.Sc. in Development and Project Planning from the University of Bradford, England. On return, he worked in Program Management, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation with Pattan Development Organization, a national NGO involved with relief and development of flood ridden communities. Later on, he worked with Actionaid, Family Planning Association of Pakistan, Groupe Developpement and then joined Plan Pakistan as Program Unit Manager, where he independently managed a child centered development programme in district Chakwal for three years before getting promoted as Country Child Rights Advisor based in the Country Office Islamabad. He then moved to Bedari, a local NGO, as Executive Director, the position he still holds.

 

 
Rafique Khan
Program Manger, Governance
 

Beside the graduation in Law, Rafique Khan Jadoon has two Master degrees (MA Political Science, and MSc Rural Development) and having more than 23 years experience in the research, management, development and relief programs across Pakistan.  He started his career as a social Mobilizer cum research assistant with International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Pakistan in 1988. During his career as a social researcher, he has been appointed at various research areas i.e. Sheikhupura (Central Punjab), Dera Ismael Khan (south NWFP) and Bahawalpur/Bahawalnagar (south Punjab) where he gained extensive social research experience and a deeper understanding of the issues and challenges of rural communities. Later, Mr. Jadoon worked with Plan Pakistan as community development office, worked on birth registration projects, and participated actively in relief activities after the earthquake in 2005, and during IDPs crisis in Mardan. In 2010, he joined Bedari as Program Manager, Relief Program and took up projects for providing relief to flood survivors. 

 

 
Arshad Farooq

Program Manager, Girl Power Program

 
Arshad Farooq has a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Punjab, Lahore Pakistan and a certificate course in Professional Studies in Education from the University of Bradford England. He has over 20 years of experience of working with government, with private sector and with the development sector in different capacities including, a teacher, project manager and technical advisor. He is a full time human rights activist and has experience of supporting many marginalized groups and individuals in claiming justice against human rights violations. Currently he is working as regional manager at Bedari Multan.
 

 
Asma Sadiq
HR Officer
 
Asma Sadiq graduated in 2006 with an MBA Degree (Majors in Human Resources) from Bahria University Islamabad. She has sound knowledge of HR, Administration and Project activities. She has worked for four years in local as well as international organizations. She has experience of managing people and representing organizations at different levels. She has communications and report writing skills. She is a team player and a committed person. She has been working with Bedari since December 2011.
 

 
Safeer Ullah Khan
Communications & Advocacy Manager
 
Safeer Ullah Khan holds a master’s degree in English literature, with a work experience of over 8 years in development sector. His skills include writing, advertising, project management, theater (acting, play-writing, direction and theater trainings) etc. He has successfully run a project on iodine deficiency disorders (IDDs) in Okara district. He has performed in numerous plays and gave theater trainings to many volunteers working for different NGOs. He has been running a project on “accountability of humanitarian aid agencies” in Mansehra – a district severely damaged in earthquake 2005. He has been working with Bedari since January 2008.
 

 
Farida Bano
Finance Manager
 
Farida has an MBA in finance, and has a vast experience of working with various public and private institutions. She has gained valuable experience in community development, social research, monitoring and management. She has been looking after Bedari’s financial matters since 2007.
 

 
Saima Toor
Program Officer
 
Saima Toor holds a masters degree in gender studies, and has been working in development sector for past 10 years in different capacities including project management, trainer and facilitator. She joined Bedari in 2010, and has been working on various assignments focusing on ending violence and discrimination against women.
 

 
Nosheen Bibi
Manager, Chakwal Office
 
Nosheen has done masters in Economics from the Punjab University. She has worked with REACH, Family Planning Association of Pakistan and National Rural Support Program. She has developed expertise in mobilizing communities on various issues. Currently she is working with Bedari as Program Officer.
 

 
Sania Liaquat
Program Officer
 
Sania Liaquat has done masters in education, and has been working in the development sector for past three years. She joined Bedari in 2010, and is responsible for providing assistance in running various projects to end violence against women.
 

 
Saira Rehman
Program Officer
 
Saira Rehman is a graduate, and joined Bedari as an intern at its Chakwal office in 2008. She, later, became regular staff member, and has contributed in various projects and campaigns for ending violence against women including a project on economic empowerment of women in Chakwal.
 

 
Mazhar Ajaib
Program Officer
 
Mazhar Ajaib joined Bedari in 2010, and has been working on various assignments to end violence against women and peace building.
 

 
Abdul Ghaffar
Social Mobilizer
 
Abdul Ghaffar is a graduate and has worked with other NGOs as social mobilize before joining Bedari and is un dertaking activities to end violence against women in Chakwal.
 

 
Rubab Zahra
Social Mobilizer
 
Rubab has done masters in sociology and has worked with other NGOs as social mobilize before joining Bedari. She is working to mobilize communities for ending violence against women. is also a new addition to Bedari staff at its Chakwal office.
 

 
Irum Fatima
Program Officer
 
Irum has done masters in political science, and has nearly 5 years of experience of working in development sector. She has worked as trainer and social mobilize. She joined Bedari as Program Officer, ending violence against women in Bedari’s Attock Office.
